Dredged Material Processing Photos
A tugboat transports the hopper barge of dredged material to the hydraulic offloading area near the Confined Disposal Facility (CDF).

An excavator unloads dredged material into another hopper barge using a screen to separate the large debris. The sediment is mixed with recirculated water from the CDF to create a slurry.

Booster pumps transfer the slurry to the CDF using a method called hydraulic offloading.

Dredged material is hydraulically off-loaded into the CDF using recirculated water from the CDF. Double-walled pipes transfer the slurry to the CDF cells.

Large debris that was separated using a screen is manually transported to the CDF for disposal.
